Roanne’s Race is postponed until November 7.
Roanne’s Race Mission is to raise awareness of colorectal cancer as it occurs in people under age 50, and those of all ages, through an annual 5K/10K and kids run. Roanne’s Race is inspired by the life of Roanne Cairel.

Roanne’s Race response to COVID-19
After recent news relating to the spread of COVID-19, and based on the recommendation of Governor Gavin Newsom, all events/gatherings over 250 people should be postponed or cancelled. The Roanne’s Race Board has decided to postpone the 8th Annual Roanne’s Race, from March 28 to November 7, 2020.
Here’s a quick FAQ to answer some common questions.
Q: Will my current registration allow me entry into November 7th event?
A: All current registrations, to date, will be honored for the November 7th event.
Q: What if I can’t make it to the November 7th date?
A: If you cannot attend the new date, we would be happy to change your registration to a Virtual Option and mail you your shirt. We hope that you would consider your unused registration as a donation to our mission, and we will be so thankful for your generosity. We are a completely non-profit and volunteer-run event. All proceeds after race costs are donated to colorectal cancer research and awareness initiatives with the Colorectal Cancer Alliance. Every race registration is considered a donation, and we are determined to make a difference in ending colorectal cancer. If you can’t attend in November and don’t wish to use your registration as a donation, let us know.
Q: I was really looking forward to the race on March 28!
A: So were we! If you still want to run or walk on March 28, we say go for it if you’re cautious! Consider going in small groups or pairs. We’d love to see your running adventures continue March 28. Tag #virtualroannesrace with your photos!
Thank you for understanding. Try to get some fresh air, wash your hands, and stay healthy–at the end of the day, that’s what’s most important to us. We’ll see you in November!
